Miss Temmy (B.M., Mus. Ed. Diploma)
Violin, saxophone, voice, and piano
Teaches Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings/midday.
Temitope Ogundele is a music educator who has extensive experience helping learners of all ages and levels achieve their musical goals. She earned a diploma in Music Education (2012) and a Bachelor of Arts in Music (2015), both from the University of Nigeria. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the National Open University of Nigeria. She is currently pursuing graduate studies in music therapy at Duquesne University.
Miss Temmy strongly advocates that music is not just an art but a fundamental means of communication and self-expression. Her hobbies include adventuring and cooking!

Mr. Jordan (B.S. Elementary Ed.)
Piano, guitar, and ukulele
Teaches Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
Jordan Main is a music instructor, early childhood educator, and performing musician based in Pittsburgh. With over a decade of experience as an educator and music instructor, Jordan has taught private lessons, group music & band programs, summer camps, and workshops for students of all ages.
They bring a patient, flexible, and student-centered approach to every lesson. Jordan’s teaching focuses on helping students build strong musical foundations while also connecting with the music that genuinely interests them. Jordan believes students are most willing to challenge themselves when they feel connected to what they are learning. They work with each student to find the music, styles, and creative goals that excite them, then use those interests to build technique, confidence, and lasting musical growth.
Outside of teaching, Jordan writes and performs with their band. They also enjoy camping, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and cooking with friends.

Ms. Jen (B.F.A., M.M.)
Piano, voice, and acting
Teaches Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
Jennie has served as a church soloist, musical theater performer, and soloist with the Boston Pops. While in New England, she directed a High School Choir that sang at Carnegie Hall and the 2000 Olympics in Australia. She also received her Masters in Voice Performance from Boston University.
She has been teaching private voice/piano for 25 years. Jennie has previously taught Trevecca Nazarene University. She served as music director at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church. She has directed numerous musicals including School of Rock, The Wiz, Descendants, Annie, Footloose, and High School Musical. Currently, she is an adjunct professor at Point Park University. She is also a musical theater director, accompanist, musical director and group voice instructor.

Miss Emily, (B.M., M.M., A.D.)
Woodwinds (clarinet, flute, saxophone, oboe, bassoon), and piano
Teaches Sunday all day.
Emily Cook is a dynamic performer and educator who is passionate about connecting audiences and students with the joy of music. As an educator, she has taught in a wide range of settings, from leading the middle school band and ukulele ensemble at St. Vincent School in Bedford, IN to serving on the faculties of Chatham, DePauw, and Millikin University. As a performer, she holds positions in the Johnstown, Carmel, and Evansville Symphony Orchestras and has premiered over 50 works by living composers as a member of Pittsburgh's Kamratōn ensemble, including several that she composed.
Emily holds a degree in music education from Lawrence University in Wisconsin and completed graduate work in clarinet performance at Duquesne University. When she’s not playing or teaching, she enjoys birding and spending time outdoors with her husband, bassist Jeffrey Turner, and her two wonderful stepchildren.

Mr. Kyle (B.M.E.)
Woodwinds (clarinet, flute, saxophone, oboe, bassoon) and voice

Teaches Friday afternoons.
A native of Rhode Island, Kyle Chauvette recently graduated with a degree in Music Education from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. He is an active educator that has experience with a wide variety of ages in many classroom and private instruction environments, including concert bands, orchestras, and choirs. Mr. Kyle has taken lessons from four different woodwind performers of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, and currently continues voice lessons with faculty from Pittsburgh's CAPA (Creative and Performing Arts) School.
Outside teaching, Mr. Kyle has a passion for performing as a woodwind doubler in musical theatre. His current list of over twenty-five different productions includes Chicago, A Chorus Line, Sweeny Todd, and many more. Mr. Kyle also works as a Choral Scholar in St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Mt. Lebanon.

Ms. Nicole (B.M.E.)
Percussion (including drumset) and piano
Teaches Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday afternoons.
Nicole Eicher is a percussionist and music educator with a diverse background in performance, teaching, and ensemble work. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she specialized in percussion and performed with the Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and Steel Drum Band. Nicole also spent two seasons in the drumline of the Keystone Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps and has served as a pit percussionist for productions at Cresson Lake Playhouse and the Indiana Players Theater.
Nicole's teaching experience includes private percussion instruction, elementary general music instruction with a focus on world drumming and dance in Pittsburgh Public Schools, and elementary instrumental lessons on brass, percussion, and wind instruments in the Ferndale Area School District.
Nicole currently plays drumset with the original rock groups Anti-Corn League and Century 3 where she tours and performs around the Pittsburgh area. Nicole is also currently furthering her musical studies by pursuing a master’s degree in Music Business and Industry from West Virginia University.

Miss Madison (B.S. Mus. Ed.)
Flute and piano

Madison Ross is a Pittsburgh native who has been involved in various music programs around the Pittsburgh area during her secondary and college experience and earned her music education degree from Duquesne University with a focus on the flute. Miss Madison enjoys creating exciting and accessible music making opportunities for all types of learners and wants her students to explore how music can help regulate and express the emotions of her students.
After graduating Miss Madison spent some time teaching private flute lessons as well as teaching 4 and 5 year olds general music in an early childhood setting. These opportunities have shaped the way in which Miss Madison views music enjoyment and hopes everyone can find meaning in music performance or creation.

Mr. Cole (B.M.)
Brass (trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba), piano, and guitar
Teaches Sunday all day and Monday afternoons.
Cole Henslee is a tubist currently pursuing graduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University. A native of Washington state, he earned his Bachelor of Music from the University of Washington. Mr. Cole has been an active music educator in Washington, presenting clinics at local middle schools and serving as brass instructor with the Tacoma Youth Symphony.
An active performer and advocate for new music, Mr. Cole has played with ensembles such as Eastman Musica Nova and the University of Washington Modern Music Ensemble. He has premiered numerous works by both student and professional composers, including the U.S. premiere of Lauri Porra’s Tuba Concerto with the UW Wind Ensemble.

Miss Emma (B.M.E.)
Piano
Teaches Thursday and Friday afternoons.
Miss Emma is a recent graduate of Duquesne University, where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Music Education. She has a passion for making music with children, people in the disability community, and loves exploring the foundations of music with her students. Miss Emma is a pianist and clarinetist, and has been an active musician since age 10. In the fall, Miss Emma is continuing her education, pursuing a masters equivalency degree in Music Therapy. She also enjoys researching and learning about music. Someday, Miss Emma hopes to use her research skills to work towards writing a book and developing her own music curriculum.

Mr. Matt (B.M., M.M.)
Brass (trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba)
Teaches Monday afternoons.
Matt Rees is an accomplished music educator and trumpet performer in the Pittsburgh area. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from Carnegie Mellon University. During his studies, he gained extensive experience in a wide range of musical ensembles and studied under world-class trumpet pedagogues and members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
A dedicated educator with experience across all grade levels, Mr. Matt served as Director of Bands for grades 4–12 in the Crawford Central School District, where he led concert and marching bands. He is currently the elementary band director in the Pine-Richland School District In addition to his teaching career, Matt is an active performer with several local ensembles, including the Musicians Concert Band of Butler, PA, Murphy’s Big Band of Leechburg, PA, and the Christ Church at Grove Farm worship team. Mr. Matt enjoys staying active through exercise, exploring new places through travel, and following his favorite sports teams

Miss Shannon (B.M., M.M.)
Violin, Viola, Cello, Piano, and Yoga (classes and private sessions)
Administrative Assistant
Teaches Monday-Wednesday afternoons.
Shannon Lock is an active performer and educator with a focus on accessibility in the musical world. After earning her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Violin Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, she worked in nonprofits as a violin and viola teacher and became the Educational Director of the Cincinnati String Project. In 2022, she became a yoga instructor (CYT-300) and found a passion for helping musicians find comfort in their musical and daily lives. She has a holistic approach to learning an instrument that is based on open communication, tuning into your body, and having fun!
Miss Shannon also performs with orchestras including Columbus Symphony, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, and Dayton Philharmonic. When she is not involved in music, she loves playing with her three cats and making pottery.

Miss Brooke (B.M.E., M.M.E.) - Studio Owner

Brooke Zangaro graduated from Penn State University with honors in Music Education and a minor in Special Education. After graduating, she taught K-6 General Music and Choir at the Greater Latrobe School District for 3 years, and 6th Grade Band, Choir, and Orchestra and Baldwin Whitehall School District. She also has a Master of Music Education degree from the University of Florida.
Miss Brooke opened Pittsburgh Music House in the summer of 2022, based off the belief that every human is musical, and every human deserves to explore their creative potential in a supportive and nurturing environment. In her free time, she enjoys training our studio's music therapy dog, Jorbi, with her husband and loves doing Crossfit workouts!

Jorbi was adopted from the Sanctuary at Haafsville (Allentown, Pennsylvania) in September of 2023. He has been diligently training and working on his calm greetings, comforting skills, and basic commands. He observes our lessons and classes and will take his therapy dog test next year. He loves egg shakers, string cheese, and meeting new friends. He is passionate about his job and is eager to help as many musicians as possible.
