Part-Time Private Lesson Teacher
Private Lessons (Multi-Instrumentalist)
Pittsburgh Music House is seeking a part-time music educator to join our team beginning May 18th.
Pay: $40/teaching hour
Teaching Areas:
-
Guitar, voice, piano, and/or strings (violin, viola, cello, bass).

All candidates should have piano proficiency.

All candidates should be able to help their students with composition and/or songwriting (on-the-job training/mentorship available).

All candidates should be able to adapt their instruction to accommodate students with a wide variety of needs, goals, and learning styles.
Schedule Availability:
Weekday evenings beginning May 18th
About the Role:
At Pittsburgh Music House, we work with private lesson students ages 3–99 who bring a wide range of interests, goals, and learning styles. Many of our students explore multiple instruments, as well as singing, songwriting, and creative music-making.
We are looking for a teacher who can:

Create playful, developmentally appropriate lessons for young beginners

Adapt lessons to support multi-instrumental learners

Encourage creativity through singing, composing, and songwriting (on-the-job training/mentorship available)

Arrange or modify music based on student interests and levels
-
Build strong, positive relationships with students and families
Candidates should have:
-
Degree in music/music education or a related field (preferred)
-
Experience teaching young children (preferred)
-
Openness to implementing play-based or general music methods in private lessons (on-the-job training/mentorship available)

Ability to teach multiple instruments (guitar, voice, piano, and/or strings)

A warm, friendly, and flexible teaching style

Commitment to consistency and building a weekly teaching schedule

Pittsburgh Music House is seeking a part-time music educator with experience coaching beginning to advanced vocalists and/or pianists, beginning May 27th.
Pay: $40/teaching hour
Teaching Areas:

Voice and/or piano.

All candidates should have piano proficiency.

All candidates should be able to adapt their instruction to accommodate students with a wide variety of needs, goals, and learning styles.
Schedule Availability:
Weekday evenings or Saturdays beginning May 27th.
About the Role:
At Pittsburgh Music House, we work with students ages 3–99 who span all levels, from brand-new beginners to advanced musicians preparing for auditions and performances. While some students on your roster will be working at a high level, others will need a creative, play-based approach as they build foundational skills.
We are looking for a teacher who can:

Coach intermediate to advanced vocalists and/or pianists with strong technical and artistic guidance

Prepare students for auditions, performances, and long-term musical goals

Create playful, engaging, and developmentally appropriate lessons for younger or beginner students
-
Adapt between structured, goal-oriented coaching and creative, student-led learning (on-the-job training/mentorship available)

Build strong relationships with students and families
Candidates should have:

Degree in music, music education, performance, or a related field (preferred)
-
Experience teaching both beginner and advanced students
-
Strong foundation in vocal pedagogy and/or piano technique
Openness to implementing play-based or general music methods in private lessons (on-the-job training/mentorship available)
Ability to teach a variety of musical styles
